Living area & kitchen: The main level’s open concept living room has cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, comfy seating, smart TV (no Live TV) and a stone wood‑burning fireplace. The adjacent dining area seats six and flows into a well‑equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counters, cookware, dishes and a breakfast bar. A laundry room with a Samsung washer/dryer is off the kitchen. Bedrooms & baths: The king primary suite on the first floor includes a smart TV, full bath (tub/shower combo) and direct deck access. Upstairs, a queen bedroom with smart TV has its own full bath. A loft overlooking the living room provides a twin bed and another full bath. All baths offer fresh linens and basic toiletries. Outdoor spaces: Enjoy mountain air from the covered porch and open deck, furnished with rocking chairs, outdoor dining table and a private hot tub. The yard features a stone firepit surrounded by six chairs and a propane grill. Ample parking is available in the gravel driveway. AWD or 4WD is highly recommended during the winter months if weather conditions are adverse.

No Live TV available Pet friendly for up to four dogs (max 85 lbs) with a pet fee; please leash dogs outdoors and clean up after them. Please note; a Ring doorbell camera at the front door monitors the entrance. Whispering Pines Cabin sits roughly one mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway; nearby E.B. Jeffress Park (milepost 271.9) offers picnic areas and the Cascades Trail, a 1‑mile easy hike loop leading to a beautiful waterfall! Also nearby is New River State Park’s gentle, shallow waters - ideal for kayaking, tubing and fishing. You are only about 15 minutes from Boone and West Jefferson, giving easy access to restaurants, shops, skiing and Appalachian State University.

Most guests choose to get around by car, since Whispering Pines is tucked into a peaceful mountain neighborhood with lots of things to see and do spread out around the area. Parking is available at the house, and the roads in and out are generally easy to navigate, though they can be winding like most mountain roads. The Blue Ridge Parkway, New River access points, and nearby parks are all a short drive, making it simple to plan day trips for hiking, paddling, and sightseeing. West Jefferson, Boone, and other High Country towns are also within easy driving distance for groceries, dining, shopping, and entertainment. In the winter months, weather can change quickly at higher elevations, so it’s smart to check conditions before heading out and be prepared for occasional snow or ice. Otherwise, exploring by car is straightforward and gives you the freedom to discover all the scenic stops along the way.
