Good to know

From the moment you pull into the driveway, Sasquatch Beech feels like the mountain hideaway you pictured: tucked into the trees, quiet, and just a couple of miles from the slopes. Inside, the home is bright and easy to live in, the kind of place where the whole group can spread out and still end up together in the kitchen. THE LAYOUT Three bedrooms sleep seven, with three full bathrooms so there's no waiting in line after a day on the mountain. Bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a queen bed, and Bedroom 3 sleeps three with a twin-over-full bunk that families and kids love. The heart of the home is a well-stocked kitchen and dining table made for group breakfasts before the first chairlift and long dinners afterward. FAMILY-READY With bunk beds, a fully fenced backyard, and a fire pit, this home is built for family trips and small groups of friends. Everyone gets a bed, the yard is private and enclosed, and the kitchen has what you need to keep everyone fed. GETTING COMFORTABLE The home is heated throughout and has ceiling fans; there is no air conditioning, which the cool Beech Mountain elevation rarely calls for. There's WiFi to stay connected and a smart TV for the wind-down at night. Self check-in with a smart lock means you arrive on your own schedule. A NOTE ON THE MOUNTAIN This is genuine high-country terrain. The front deck is elevated, so please keep to three people on it at a time, avoid leaning on the railings, and watch little ones, as surfaces can be slick. In winter, come prepared for snow and ice and a vehicle ready for mountain roads.

Other Details to Note

- Self check-in with a smart lock; your personal code and directions are sent before arrival. - A quiet, residential mountain setting — please be considerate of neighbors and observe quiet hours. - Free parking on site in the driveway. Beech Mountain sees real winter weather (snow, ice, fog); a vehicle equipped for winter driving is strongly recommended November–March, and the roads, driveway, and steps can be slick. - No air conditioning — at nearly 5,500 feet the mountain air stays cool; heating and ceiling fans are provided. - No pets, please. - Elevated front deck: please keep to three people at a time, do not lean on the railings, and supervise children closely — surfaces can be slippery. - For security there is an exterior Ring camera and floodlight at the front of the property facing the driveway (exterior only — there are no cameras inside), and an on-site noise-decibel monitor that measures sound level only (never audio). - The garage is not part of the rental. - Please secure all trash in the bear-proof bins and never leave food outside — this is black-bear country. - Sleeps 7 maximum. - MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YRS OF AGE TO BOOK. - NCREC License #C41500.

Neighborhood

Sasquatch Beech is in the Town of Beech Mountain — at about 5,500 feet, the highest town in the eastern United States, and a genuine four-season mountain community. In winter it's a ski town built around Beech Mountain Resort; in the warmer months it turns into a cool-air escape for hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, and lake time at Lake Coffey. You're minutes from Fred's General Mercantile (a local institution), the Beech Mountain Brewing Co. taproom at the resort, the Buckeye Recreation Center, and miles of trails — with Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, and Boone all a short drive down the mountain. It's the rare spot that's central to the High Country yet tucked quietly in the trees. (This home is NOT in the Eagle's Nest community.)

Guest Access

You have the entire home to yourselves, plus the private fenced backyard and fire-pit area and the on-site parking. The only space that is off-limits is the garage. There are no shared areas — the property is entirely yours for your stay.

WHERE YOU'LL STAY

Find us

A car is recommended, and there's free parking on site. Rough drive times: about 2 miles to Beech Mountain Resort, ~15 minutes down to Banner Elk, ~25 minutes to Sugar Mountain, and ~35–45 minutes to Boone and Appalachian State. Grocery runs are easiest in Banner Elk or Boone. Roads on the mountain are steep and winding; from November through March a vehicle equipped for winter driving (AWD/4WD) is strongly recommended.
