Set on a private, wooded lot in the quiet community of Todd, it is wrapped in trees with a creek running through the property — the loudest thing you will hear most mornings. It is serene and unhurried, yet sits almost exactly between Boone and West Jefferson, so adventure is never far. THE MAIN LEVEL The living room brings the outdoors in: warm wood floors, tongue-and-groove walls, and a soaring vaulted ceiling over a wall of windows. Leather sofas circle a stacked-stone gas fireplace, and the windows open to an expansive deck with a gas grill, gas fire table, and outdoor dining — all looking out over the wooded yard and creek. A wood-burning fire pit with four Adirondack chairs sits down in the yard for evenings under the stars, and the full kitchen and dining table are ready for family dinners. THE BEDROOMS (SLEEPS 10) Main-level master: king bed, private ensuite bath with a jetted soaking tub and a separate step-in shower. Upstairs bedroom 2: queen bed. Upstairs bedroom 3: queen bed. The two upstairs bedrooms share a full bath with a spa-like steam shower, with a cozy reading nook on the landing between them. Two additional queen sleeper sofas — one in the Great Room and one on the lower level — bring the home to a comfortable sleeps-10. THE GAME ROOM & LOWER LEVEL The converted garage is now a game room with a pool table and air hockey, and there is an arcade game and a TV lounge on the lower level — the after-dinner hangout for every age. FAMILY-READY Traveling with little ones and the dog? Board games, children's books, and baby safety gates are on hand, and up to two dogs are welcome for a small fee. GETTING COMFORTABLE High-speed WiFi (great for catching up on work or streaming), central heat and air, a washer and dryer, and streaming-ready TVs throughout. Self check-in by smart lock. GOOD TO KNOW The cabin has multiple levels with interior stairs to the upper and lower floors, so it is best for guests comfortable on steps. It sits on a level gravel driveway with parking for four; in winter, AWD or 4WD is recommended.
